Are you an Energy professional ready to join our fast-paced, dynamic team as an Advisor, Energy Policy & Planning! In this position you will contribute to building strategies, and work to ensure Enbridge’s participation in compliance programs is achieved in accordance with current and future climate policies.

What will you do:

  • Manage data collection, process documentation, reporting and verification needs for various projects participating in the Clean Fuel Regulation program.

  • Determine efficient internal processes to align with various climate policies and develop related procedural documentation to ensure sustainment of processes.

  • Interpret climate and energy policies and regulations and identify impacts for Enbridge and key partner groups.

  • Participate in discussions with external partners such as Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Canadian Gas Association.

  • Coordinate and/or provide advice on climate/energy policy submissions.

  • Provide technical expertise related to energy and climate policies (e.g., calculation of emissions or environmental attributes, and associated costs and/or revenues) to internal partners including Regulatory, Finance, Customer Care, Government Relations and Public Affairs.

  • Support development of evidence and witness preparation for Ontario Energy Board regulatory filings/proceedings related to climate policy.

  • Contribute to the development of energy policy and planning strategies.

Who you are

  • University degree in Engineering, Science, Business/Commerce or Economics.

  • A minimum of 4 years of direct related experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Outstanding analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Engineering or project management designations are nice to have.

  • Project management and regulatory experience are considered an asset.

Only for Ontario: The salary range is $86,000- $95,000 CAD. The final Compensation will be settled based on the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
