What You’ll Do


The Advertising Specialist will assist in execution of digital media advertising campaigns in support of Fidelity Investments Canada. Working closely with the Manager, Digital Advertising, Fidelity’s media agency, internal departments, content marketing, production, and digital teams. The role will support advertising campaign execution and own execution for one or more advertising channels (i.e. sponsored events, programmatic display/video and paid search). The role includes assisting in development of media placement recommendations, post-campaign reporting and in-campaign optimization; as well as budget optimization and reporting within campaigns.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Assist the digital advertising team in creating and follow up of paid advertising campaigns and projects by collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Owning campaign projects on Adobe Workfront to ensure campaign assets are ready for timely execution of paid digital advertising campaigns, including on-ground events and other paid campaigns
  • Collaboration with Advertising, Paid Social, Content, and Digital Marketing teams to ensure seamless integration across a full communication plan (i.e. paid/owned/earned).
  • Help develop detailed, strategic media briefs for the agency and internal stakeholders that reflect business and campaign goals across the marketing funnel.
  • Ability to uncover and leverage audience insights through the Adobe Analytics platform to build strategies for key target segments
  • Leverage internal and external data sources to ensure media plans are based on insight and learning.
  • Liaise with media agency to ensure effective mix and spend, while ensuring campaign objectives are being met.
  • Help with campaign reports consistently to ensure campaign optimization & learning for future campaigns; this includes working closely with Advanced Analytics and Digital teams
  • Using Fidelity processes, ensure timely review and accounting of all advertising spend as correlates to accurate billing

The Expertise You Bring:

  • University Degree in Marketing/Advertising or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing or advertising
  • Experience utilizing the following media: paid search, programmatic and direct display/video, online video, audio (i.e. Spotify, podcasts), TV, digital out-of-home, in-person and digital sponsorships.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with the ability to analyze campaign data and metrics to make optimization recommendations
  • Financial services experience is a strong asset.
  • Advertising and/or Media Agency experience is a strong asset.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Thorough understanding of paid digital strategy, mobile and social media channels.
  • Demonstrate experience in the one or more of the following ad platforms, but not limited to, Meta, Google Ads, Adobe AdCloud, Reddit, LinkedIn, Spotify, Direct display, Television, sponsorships.
  • Experience with 3rd party ad serving technology (e.g. DoubleClick).
  • Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically to a wide range of audiences.
  • The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrate an innovative, collaborative, and proactive mindset.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must be very detail oriented and can work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrate experience building out detailed advertising strategies and tactics, preferably in the financial services sector.

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

  • Base Salary: A competitive annual range of $65,000 to $80,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
