Under direction of the Youth Adventure Coordinator, will assist with all areas of the Outdoor Adventure Program including trip preparation, camper orientation, leading adventure programs, supervising youth in an outdoor setting, and understanding of risk management as it relates to the field of Outdoor Recreation.There are two (2) positions available.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists the Adventure Coordinator with summer Teen Adventure Camp activities
Supports and supervises outdoor activities including rock climbing, challenge courses, kayaking, rappelling, caving, and similar adventures.
Helps ensure safe, engaging, and positive experience for all participants.
Assists with activity setup, preparation, and clean-up.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in Recreation, preferred experience in Outdoor Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation. Previous experience working with youth and youth with special needs (at-risk), a knowledge of experiential education, facilitation and processing techniques, recreation programming experience, challenge course, and outdoor adventure skills (rock climbing, paddling, backpacking, etc.) OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Position requires an in-depth knowledge of outdoor adventure programming.
Must possess oral and written communications skills, work well with pre-teens and teens; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with organization, employees and the general public.
Knowledge of outdoor recreation, medical first-aid procedures, and recreation risk management principles.
CERTIFICATION(S)/LICENSES REQUIRED:
Current certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required. Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
EMPLOYMENT TESTING:
Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment drug testing, criminal background investigation and driving record check, if applicable.
Work Schedule: This schedule coincides with the Teen Adventure Camp and includes some overnight travel. May 25, 2026 - July 25, 2026.
Hiring Range: $1,000 Bi-weekly, employees will be paid for 9 weeks of work.
