The Advanced Wound Management Business Unit Lead role entails responsibility and accountability for the effective development and execution of sales plans and initiatives for Advanced Wound Management (AWM) business unit. Lead the team of employees of the assigned unit within the policies and procedures of the Smith+Nephew group, maintaining high ethical standards and business reputation. Develop and manage business/sales plans that align with the company's annual goals and objectives.

What will you be doing?

  • Bear full responsibility for achieving planned quarterly and annual sales targets in their area and control the expenditure part of the budget and profitability indicators.
  • Develop the company's development strategy for the direction in the assigned territory and promptly provide a business plan for management review.
  • Propose necessary improvements to establish current business practices, seek new ways and opportunities to increase business efficiency, and align them with current business needs.
  • Initiate changes for successful business development and lead them.
  • Participate in the integrated commercial planning process by developing quarterly and annual sales revenue targets, client plans, brand and territory plans.
  • Coordinate and conduct economic and competitive analysis of new opportunities and threats in the market to achieve S&N's 'victory,' capitalize on this, and ensure sales.
  • Determine sales opportunities and develop unique ways to grow the business and offer management solutions to emerging problems
  • Manage the Company's product portfolio, including defining the list of products represented in the Russian market, as well as the Commercial policy and pricing for your business segment
  • Develop and maintain long-term, strong, and effective partnerships with key healthcare professionals and other decision-makers
  • Contribute to the company's work, including in an international context. Coordinate contacts and conduct joint activities with employees of marketing, research and development, and regulatory services within the Company, as well as services in Russia and countries of the Emerging Markets cluster and the Central and Eastern Europe region.
  • Ensure that employees of the department fully perform their job duties, as well as comply with high standards of business ethics of the Company. Lead, motivate, monitor, and evaluate the performance of the team.
  • Comply with local legislation, respects the company's policies, principles, values, and conduct in business guidance, and protects all company assets, including inventory levels, if applicable.
  • Lead by example in embodying the company's vision, values, and leadership competencies.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Higher education in business, medicine, or a technical discipline
  • At least three years of work experience in a sales and/or marketing manager position
  • Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Business planning, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Leadership qualities, ability to reveal and develop the abilities of direct subordinates

  • Extensive knowledge in sales management
  • Knowledge of system products and processes
  • Persistence, energetic and initiative approach
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Abilities in excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of the medical equipment industry and its requirements.
  • Ability to travel for business up to 30%.
