Job purpose

The Advanced Quality Intern will support the program quality team, contributing to the implementation of best practices within the program team (CTF). The goal is to gain practical experience in APQP (PDP/NPDP) processes, assisting in activities related to production and assembly design, D/PFMEA, and Control Plan, in order to understand how factory performance and customer requirements are ensured at SOP.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Support the quality team in activities related to:

  • APQP / program management

  • D/PFMEA and control plan

  • PPAP

Assist in collecting and organizing customer-specific quality requirements, supporting their distribution to the project team.

Participate in monitoring local 8Ds, observing and learning from problem-solving activities.

Contribute to recording and sharing lessons learned, supporting the cross-functional application of best practices.

Support continuous improvement initiatives through APQP.

Collaborate in monitoring program KPIs together with the CFT team.

Assist in local program audits, supporting documentation preparation and corrective actions.

Support the team in identifying program-specific quality risks.

Assist in preparing reports and regular updates for the Program Manager / Quality Manager.

Comply with environmental, energy efficiency, occupational health and safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Respect organizational rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, practices, and schedules.

Respect and comply with workplace safety and cleanliness rules.

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to environment, energy, health, and safety.

Use energy resources efficiently, adopting responsible practices in line with the SGE Policy.

Perform other support tasks as required by team needs, always under guidance and supervision.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (masters valued).

  • Interest in learning and applying APQP and quality processes.

  • Basic knowledge or academic background in Lean and Six Sigma (additional training will be valued).

  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical measurement techniques (CMM, round scan, contour graph, surface roughness, plug/thread gauges) will be valued.

  • Familiarity or academic exposure to problem-solving tools (8-D, 7-Steps, 5 Whys, Quality Alerts).

  • Fluent in English (mandatory).
