$50.05 - $75.10Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Women's Health Service is recruiting a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to provide mental health services during pregnancy and the postpartum period in our newly developed Perinatal Mental Health Program. In addition to providing mental health support, this APP may be asked to see routine GYN in one of our many clinics. As a large teaching institution, you will provide educational experiences to varied learners. Our Advanced Practice Providers work alongside their peers, physicians, and residents to provide exceptional care to women of all ages. This position currently requires Monday through Friday, daytime coverage but this may growth to include weekend and night call as our program expands. *Experienced APP in Psychiatric Mental Health/Women's Health preferred*
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:
Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
Board certified in NP specialty
Certification as PMHNP preferred
Experience as PMHNP preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide mental health services, medication management and psychotherapy.
Group and individual therapy for mental health support.
Offer resources for any of the needs beyond the scope of practice.
Work in collaboration with department leadership and other PMH NP's to develop our new program
Flexibility in hours may be required as this program develops.
Provide routine gynecologic care to women across the lifespan (ages 15- 80)
Perform procedures as approved on your privileges form.
Attend department and sectional meetings as scheduled.
Provide patient care and interact with health care team in a professional manner.
Education of varied learners.
PMHNP JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree as APP with preference for additional Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (transcript submission)
Licensure as both an RN and APP in the state of North Carolina
Certification as PMHNP preferred.
Certification as an APP ( based on your schooling)
Experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not required.
DEA License required to start
BLS certified, NRP and ACLS are required if working in patient.
PMHNP/WOMEN'S HEALTH PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
