The primary role of Database Management function is to design, implement and maintain Oracle Database Server, SQL server technologies and E-Business Suite Technologies environments. Key deliverables include providing support to application DBA tasks such as application cloning, patching and database migration. Monitoring all Oracle production database backups globally. Troubleshooting technical Oracle Applications and database issues.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities- The primary objective of Database Administration(DM) specialization within Database Management Job Family is to plan computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, performance, operational guidelines and protection.
- Key responsibilities include ensuring accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools (such as base dictionaries), establishing and maintaining security and integrity controls, formulating and monitoring policies, and proposing and implementing enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
- Performs work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.
- Responsibilities might include:
(1) Performing routine professional-based activities (early in career)
(2) Contributing to and managing projects (mid-career)
(3) Providing advice/direction in primary areas of expertise (specialist and expert)
