What You Will Do:

The Engine Systems Design Integration organization (EDSI) is looking for an Advanced Commercial Engine Programs (ACEP) Propulsion Systems Analysis (PSA) Engineer, reporting to the ACEP PSA Manager. The ACEP EDSI team is responsible for system-level contract proposals, design studies and project management for a variety of projects including system level technology demonstrators and product design studies to full product program proposals. The Advanced Concepts team is responsible for preparations for the Next Generation Single Aisle (NGSA) and the team is growing to successfully execute a wide variety of technology development and prepare for launch of new programs. This role provides a great chance to work with airframer customers and P&W partners and learn about a wide variety of topics across the whole engine while substantially influencing PW’s future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the EDSI team, CSE, PCE and engineering organization to develop NGSA concepts and support airframer customer studies
  • Execute commercial engine cycle optimization studies and modeling tool development
  • Advanced concept definition and simplified analytical trade studies
  • Engage in cross-training opportunities with the Engine Conceptual Design team
  • Embrace knowledge capture, read across, and communities of practice and training across EDSI and Module Centers

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 5 years of related engineering experience.
  • U.S. Person/Green Card holder

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • BS or MS in Electrical. Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Other engineering degrees will be considered on an exception basis if relevant experience is demonstrated.
  • Experience in gas turbine engine cycle performance.
  • Experience in gas turbine engine cycle operability.
  • Systems engineering and integration experience.
  • Advanced concepts development experience.
  • Strong communication skills.

The EDSI Commercial Engines and Military Engines organizations are focused on delivering systems solutions to meet customer requirements, driving engineering quality and productivity, and developing the next generation of systems engineers.​​ EDSI is responsible for the integration of components, modules, and sub-systems into world class commercial and military propulsion systems.​​

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
