Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.
Risk Data Insights & Analytics (RDIA) forms part of Risk Management’s Strategy, Data & AI team. RDIA uses data and analytics to transform Risk Management through automation, self-service tools and data science. RDIA focuses on innovation with a proven track record of regularly incrementally adding new features and capabilities to already best-in-class CBA capabilities.
Do work that matters:
You will join the Risk Data Insights and Analytics (RDIA) crew within Risk Management, as part of the Non-Financial Risk Automated Insights Enablement Chapter.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work with a Product Owner and other Squad members to support product development from concept to maturity and create meaningful business impact.
You will deliver to deadlines by managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Design and implement code and processes to build data assets and tools.
Support the squad with subject matter expertise in spend and big data analytics and embed quality assurance practices for project delivery.
Using your business acumen, you will translate complex business requirements and objectives into technical briefings.
You will synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and facts from various sources to identify relationships and patterns, drawing logical conclusions about customer needs and how best to meet them.

Excellent understanding of Risk management in particular in the Non-Financial Risk Space.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with SQL and programming practices to perform big data analysis and transformation, with Hadoop and python/PySpark specific experience desirable.
Excellent stakeholder management and capability to influence business decisions. The ability to articulate complex technical or analytical requirements or findings in common non-technical terms.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a variety of environments and cross-functional teams .
Data analysis and reporting skills with knowledge of analytics and visual communication of quantitative information.
Confidence in driving problem solving sessions with stakeholders in a structured manner.
Experience with end-to-end analytic project delivery including scoping work, planning, conducting analysis and making recommendations, analytics support and/or developing presentations.
Good written and verbal communication, business partnering, teamwork and collaboration skills, and time management with multi-task skills in a fast-paced environment.
Awareness of AWS cloud computing services.
