Job Description

The Sr Advisor I, Technical Support provides the most advanced technical support to client customers. This position responds to escalated and unresolved calls from other technical support advisors.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Standard Product Work Shops – Training.
  • In-Depth Product Reviews - White Board (Chalk Talk) Sessions.
  • Health Checks / Assessments.
  • Product Upgrade / Migration Assessments.
  • Standard Advisory request handling.

Technical Skills
• Broad knowledge of on-premises Microsoft products with deep understanding of the following: Active Directory and AD Certificate Services
• Strong Active Directory troubleshooting skills and experience
• Experience in Active Directory Disaster Recovery
• AD CS related requirements:
o Experience in managing and maintaining multi-tier CA role, Enrolment policies, Certificate enrolment web service.
o Experience of how to deploy, backup, restore, migrate, and maintain AD CS.
o Knowledge of how to protect against weak cryptographic algorithms, migrate a CA key to a key storage provider, configure trusted root and disallowed certificates, use a policy module with the network device enrolment, and perform a delegated installation for an enterprise CA
o Working knowledge on PKI ancillary services (like NDES and OCSP)
o Certificate Services High Availability and sharing of storage for Active/Passive PKI deployment.
• Experience with ADFS and Azure AD(Entra ID) would be beneficial.
• 4+ years’ experience in systems development, network operations, software support, IT consulting
• Self-reliant and strong team player, working in a fast-paced environment where technology and customers' requirements can change regularly
• Understanding of Microsoft’s Modern IT Architecture and Strategy
• PowerShell\Scripting experience
• Azure, basic knowledge of:
     o IaaS platform
     o Governance
Other Skills
• Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments
• Proven track record of building relationships with senior IT and business decision makers.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics in ways that can be understood by technical and business decision makers.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Min 4 years in product support.
  • Excellent written, oral / presentation and technical writing skills.
  • The ability to read/interpret the needs/wants of customer executives and leaders.
  • Ability to tactfully handle and articulate customer critical issues and work in a high stress environment.
  • Growth mindset demonstrated by self-directed learning in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft certifications
