Reporting to the Director of Enrollment for the Lima and Marion campuses, the Admissions Recruitment Coordinator for the Marion campus assists with the daily recruitment activities of the Marion Admissions Office. Plans, executes, and evaluates recruitment and counseling activities. Counsels and corresponds with students, families, university departments, or other stakeholders regarding Ohio State admission policies, procedures, and general information over the phone, via text or email, and in person. Manages and responds to cases in Salesforce, responds to elevated or complicated cases using pre-existing guidance. Utilizes Tableau to review application and enrollment history, navigates Peoplesoft to assist students through the admissions funnel; uses Capture analytics to perform targeted outreach and works collaboratively across the university to recruit and enroll students. Coordinates recruitment functions that may include the planning of personal admissions visits, recruitment responsibility for transfer students, Program 60 or CCP students, and coordinates the details and oversight of group visits to campus. Hires, trains and supervises the campus student employees responsible for student outreach or tours of campus to be exemplary representatives of the campus. Assists in developing tour scripts, organizes training and provides continuous coaching for these student employees. With direction from the Director of Enrollment for the Lima and Marion Campuses, the Admissions Recruitment Coordinator will assist in training new employees, deliver presentations and communicate effectively and consistently. The Admissions Recruitment Coordinator travels to local high schools, attending college fairs and other recruitment events as needed to support the office and to promote The Ohio State University at Marion as needed. Works collaboratively with members of undergraduate admissions on the Columbus campus to plan strategic travel, attend local events to recruit students to the university. Represents The Ohio State University at on and off campus recruitment events, campus events or similar. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Two years’ experience working in higher education or related areas. demonstrated excellent writing and communication skills. Demonstrated organizational or project management skills. Proficient in desktop technologies.

 

Desired: Prior experience working in recruitment for a regional campus or community college. Familiarity with Peoplesoft, Salesforce and Blackthorn.

Additional Information:

Salary range for this position is $21.35 – $27.88.

The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
