Admissions Frontline Communications Supervisor

Berklee College of Music - Boston Part time

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

  • Federal Work Study student may apply.

  • In good disciplinary standing.

  • Must be located in the U.S.

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions Services, the Admissions Communications Clerk is part of a team responsible for representing the front line for Admissions communications via email and phone calls.

The ACC will typically answer a high-volume number of calls and emails throughout the day. These calls and emails range from general inquiries about Berklee, to detailed questions about the application process, including how/where to submit application materials. Some outgoing calls to applicants may be required to support the college’s recruitment efforts.

A strong understanding of Admissions policies, deadlines and procedures is required, in addition to knowledge about Berklee’s academic offerings 

Capabilities required include:

  • Organizational Skills - ability to complete multiple tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner; ability to work well with others in a close working environment and assist faculty/staff with material requests. Excellent phone demeanor.
  • Understanding of the college’s policies, deadlines and related Admissions information.

Hourly Rate: $18.54
