Position Description:

The Reinhardt Academic Center (RAC) is seeking an Admissions Counselor II to lead College of Business (COB) undergraduate enrollment efforts.  The College seeks to grow in enrollment through innovative retention strategies, beginning with the student’s admissions process.  The College views this role as the origin of student success and retention.  This role includes management of a 400-student caseload or more, providing guidance on student success, degree selection, and progress to degree completion. The successful candidate will manage and execute campus recruitment initiatives for the College of Business. Key responsibilities include organizing and attending recruitment events, coordinating yield activities and campus visits, reviewing applicant files, generating statistical reports, and assessing the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. The role requires exceptional organizational, presentation, technical, and interpersonal skills. Occasional out-of-state travel and weekend availability are required.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, attend, and participate in recruitment events such as visiting high schools in target areas, campus visit programs, one-on-one visits, and high school counselor relationships.

  • Partnerships and other admissions events.

  • Build relationships with high school counselors and community-based organizations through travel and ongoing communication.

  • Review first-time freshmen College of Business applications.

  • Coordinate the recruitment of external transfer students.

  • Work with the Assistant Director to support CAPS Ambassadors.

  • Utilize CRM to develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance enrollment and yield, enrollment forecasting, and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate print, electronic, and social media communications with the Office of Admissions Communications team and COB marketing staff.

  • Support and work closely with the Cardinal Bridge Academy.

  • Coordinate with Cardinal Bridge Academy director regarding CoB scholarships.

  • Coordinate recruiting efforts between the COB and the main UofL Undergraduate Office of Admissions.

  • Other duties as agreed to by the Executive Director of Admissions and Dean of the College of Business.
