What you'll be doing;

  • Operate weighbridge system and coordinate depot traffic flow via radio communication with staff

  • Manage correspondence, filing, telephone calls, mail handling, and maintain accurate depot records

  • Perform accurate data entry on weighbridge and transport systems, including daily stock updates and weekly allocations

  • Handle customer queries through to resolution, monitor collection failures, and provide account status reports

  • Coordinate material sales bookings, manage transport arrangements, process driver paperwork, and ensure compliance documentation

  • Liaise with transport department on vehicle routing and assist with daily collection sheets and delivery notes

  • Produce reports to deadlines, compile sales data, and provide relevant documentation to customers

  • Liaise with HR and payroll, monitor time and attendance systems, and assist with recruitment activities including interview coordination

  • Arrange requirements for meetings, events and visitors, including maintaining notice boards and site information displays

What we're looking for;

  • Previous administrative experience

  • Educated to GSCE standard or equivalent

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Good communication skills both written and verbally

  • Excellent IT skills, ability to use spreadsheets and databases (experience of Google Suite desirable)
