Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains an ongoing liaison with the Governing Body, staff members, and the community.
The Administrator or Alternate Administrator will be available during the Hospice’s operating
hours.
Organizes and directs the Hospice’s ongoing functions.
Ensures that a Clinical Manager is available during all operating hours.
Ensures the Hospice, including any Multiple Location(s), are in compliance with all applicable
federal, state, and local laws and regulatory agencies related to the health and safety of patients.
Takes action on reports and recommendations of any authorized planning, regulatory, or
inspection agencies.
Ensures education and availability of applicable regulations to all the Hospice staff, including
contractual providers.
Ensures completion, maintenance, and submission of required reports.
Ensures that the organization employs or contracts with qualified personnel.
Ensures the development of personnel qualifications and policies.
Ensures adequate staff education and evaluations.
Ensures the accuracy of public information materials and activities.
Implements an effective budgeting and accounting system that promotes the health and safety of
the Hospice’s patients.
Maintains a current organizational chart to show lines of authority down to the patient level.
Has responsibility and authority for the administrative and leadership functions of the Hospice.
Ensures maintenance of the appropriate personnel records, administrative records, and policies
and procedures of the Hospice.
BRANCH LEADERSHIP
Oversees office and clinical services
Ensures timely billing
Processes assigned HCHB workflow
Assists with case conference
Reviews and approves F2F encounters
Processes client occurrences and infection control reports
Educates field staff for quality documentation
Review’s branch KPI’s and operational reports and take appropriate action
Other branch related duties as assigned

Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
Works with VPO in identifying budgetary requirements and determining appropriate use of allocations.
Monitors equipment for appropriate use and take steps to keep misuse to a minimum.
Is normally available at all times during and after operation hours, may designate a qualified
temporary replacement if he/she will not be available.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local rules, accreditation standards and Home Health and/or Hospice policies in all patient care aspects of the Home Health and/or Hospice.
Addresses and corrects all patient concerns
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Must be a hospice employee and a licensed physician, registered nurse (RN), licensed social worker, licensed therapist, or licensed nursing home administrator with at least one year of management or supervisor experience and in a health-related setting, or have at least a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
Licensure: No Licensure required
Experience: Must have at least two years of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting, such as a hospital, nursing facility, hospice, outpatient rehabilitation center, psychiatric facility, intermediate care facility for persons with mental retardation or related conditions, or a licensed health care delivery setting for providing services for individuals with functional disabilities.
Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all
segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, the Governing Body, the
IDG/T, and the Medical Director. Will be able to read, write, and comprehend
English.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance required
Regulatory: Must pass all background checks and MVR check
Complete health statement acknowledging ability to perform job duties

Ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
Physical & Mental Effort
Prolonged sitting is required. Requires ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and the Hospice needs.

Compensation Range:
