This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change.

About the Role

Likewise is the alcohol and drug service for adults across Sheffield. We provide information, advice and support so people can make better choices around alcohol and drugs. We work with people to be safer through a range of dedicated, professional support.

Our service is led by the national charity Waythrough with partner Project 6 who have been working and supporting people across the city for many years. We also support people to achieve and sustain recovery from problematic alcohol and drug use through a range of treatments.

Likewise, is a partnership of experienced local providers offering a complete choice of services, enabling us to provide help to anyone no matter how simple or complex their needs.

What You’ll Do

As an Administrator at Likewise your role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our service on a day-to-day basis.

This vital position ensures the smooth flow of clinical and administrative procedures, providing vital support to help us achieve our mission. You will also, when required, be the welcoming face of our service in your role as receptionist and will be a friendly and professional first point of contact.

Your regular work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, there is an occasional late shift expectation on Thursdays, typically once a month. Please note that there may be instances where this requirement occurs more frequently to accommodate the needs of the service.

  • Clinical Administration experience: Generating and managing prescriptions, dealing with prescription queries, and preparing correspondence for GPs.

  • SystmOne Experience: SystmOne experience is desirable but not essential

  • General Administration Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare environment is beneficial. This experience will provide you with a foundational understanding of the specific needs and challenges of our service.

  • Excellent Organisational Skills: You have the ability to keep a variety of administrative tasks organised and on track. We're looking for someone who can juggle multiple responsibilities with precision.

  • Strong Communication: Clear and effective communication is key in this role. Whether you're answering inquiries, coordinating meetings, or taking minutes, you should be an adept communicator.

  • Data Management Proficiency: Experience with computerised recording systems, databases, and software like Excel and Access will be advantageous.

  • Reception experience: you will be a warm, calm, and welcoming first point of contact for all clients and visitors to Likewise.
