Purpose of the role
You will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities that centre around managing financial institution limits, supporting trade transactions, and delivering exceptional service to clients. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with multiple departments including Trade Sales, Operations, Corporate Banking, and Relationship Management teams.
You will be responsible for handling client queries related to various banking products such as letters of credit, receivables financing, bank guarantees, and trade loans. Additionally, you will play a key role in implementing cash management systems and providing customer support for digital platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage financial institution limits and oversee limit applications and approvals for trade transactions within the Seoul branch, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
Reconcile FI limits for trade transactions, maintaining up-to-date records and supporting audit requirements as needed.
Handle client queries efficiently, including limit reservations, applications, and execution of trade deals related to letters of credit, receivables financing, bank guarantees, and trade loans.
Support the Trade Finance desk on Risk Participation In/Out deals by coordinating documentation and liaising with relevant teams.
Assist the Trade Sales Team in booking trade loans, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and within required timelines.
Oversee the Cash Management System implementation and provide customer service support for platforms such as GCMS PLUS, ComSuite FX, and GPH system.
Develop strong relationships with Transaction Banking Sales Team, Relationship Managers, Operations, Corporate Banking, and other departments to facilitate seamless transaction execution for customers.
Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and local regulations; complete checklists promptly to ensure compliance.
Identify areas for continuous improvement in work efficiency and actively contribute recommendations to enhance departmental performance.
Adhere strictly to all company policies/guidelines while acting as an ambassador for the organisation both internally and externally.
Job Requirements:
No prior experience required; candidates eager to learn are welcome to apply as full training will be provided within a supportive team environment.
Knowledge of trade finance or banking operations is advantageous but not essential; willingness to develop expertise in these areas is highly valued.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary for effective documentation management and reporting tasks.
Meticulous attention to detail is essential for accurate reconciliation of financial institution limits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently when managing individual responsibilities or projects.
Excellent time management skills are required to prioritise tasks effectively amidst competing demands from various stakeholders.
Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify risks or opportunities during transaction processing or client interactions.
Strong communication skills are vital for building rapport with clients, colleagues across departments, and external partners alike.
