Analyst/ Specialist

- Within the first 30 days, we expect you to gain good understanding of the role and requirement that it entails. Within 60 days, attain competency & have a good understanding of process and systems & finally within 90 days be able to technically handle the claim with limited support.

Preview to our current base policies:
- Maternity benefits: Sum insured for normal delivery is INR 65,000 and C-section is INR 75,000.
- Mental health on IPD (up to full sum insured) and OPD (up to 40,000) to cover Psychiatric and related treatments
- Home care and treatment up to INR15,000 (COVID related) covered per member
- Hotel quarantine up to INR 50,000 (COVID related) covered per member
- Make shift or temporary hospital treatment up to INR15,000 (COVID related) covered per member
- Enhanced colleague experience through Benefitme portal (one stop self-service for enrollment & tracking of claims)
Voluntary top up:
- Sum Insured options:2 Lacs, 3 Lacs and 5 Lacs
- All benefits same as baseexcept for Mental illness on OPD basis
- Although completely voluntary, colleagues would be encouraged to enroll considering dependents age & pre-existing health conditions
- Corporate buffer would be made available on exception basis only, provided colleagues have taken a top up plan
- 6 months instalment option through payroll
- New Joiners would be able to opt for Top-up upon joining within a 30 day window

Client Service Management:
Client Communication
- Deliver timely and proactive updates to clients, insurers, and key stakeholders, ensuring they are informed at every stage of the claims process.
- Maintain clear, professional, and empathetic communication, fostering strong relationships and trust with clients/stakeholders throughout their claims journey.
- Initiate early contact with clients to gather essential information, set realistic expectations, and provide guidance on the claims process.
Claims Management
- Conduct thorough investigations, documentation, and assessments of all claims to ensure accurate evaluation and resolution, adhering to best practices.
- Establish alerts and reminders for key milestones in the claims process, proactively managing each claim to achieve the earliest possible settlement.
- Regularly monitor the status of claims, ensuring timely progression and resolution while addressing any potential delays.
- Collaborate effectively with insurers to expedite the settlement of claims, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all parties involved.
- Provide additional support to clients through value-added activities, particularly when offers fall below their expectations, to enhance their overall experience.
Documentation and Compliance
- Ensure all repudiations are accurately referred, with appropriate challenges documented and all overturned repudiations recorded for future reference.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including adherence to the Marsh best practice guidelines.
- Regularly review documentation processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure the highest standards of compliance and efficiency are met.
Ideation
- Actively contribute to the ideation process by proposing innovative solutions and enhancements to existing claims processes and workflows, driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new initiatives and best practices that streamline operations and elevate the client experience
- Compliance, Regulatory and Procedural Responsibilities
- Ensure that all statutory regulations and company procedures are followed to protect clients, colleagues and the business interest of the company
- Appropriate usage of Marsh Speciality's systems to monitor, record and retain information
- Demonstrate clear understanding of regulatory requirements
- Proactively ensures compliance with regulatory and risks framework
- Adheres to policies, guidelines and operating procedures
- Keeps own knowledge and expertise up to date and relevant
- Identifies and evaluates risks appropriately. Recognises how own actions impact on compliance
What you need to have:
- Understanding of Insurance Broking business of Marsh and terminologies
- Know-how of markets/legislations/regulators/procedures governing our business
- Technical aptitude, analytical skills and ability to acquire subject matter expertise on existing and new processes
- Upto date on recent developments and happenings impacting our business
- Extremely Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks, work within stiff timelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Demonstrate confidence in talking to clients, stakeholders or colleagues both in spoken and written communication.
- Willing to go the extra mile in order to achieve the best possible outcome
- Positive attitude to change and willingness to embrace the advantages
Education: Graduate
Experience: 1-2.5 years of experience in the Insurance Claims Handling.
