Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a Senior Buyer/Limited Warranted Contracting Officer in the Contracts Department, supporting simplified acquisition actions (SAP).
  • You will ensure performance of all necessary actions for effective purchasing, ensuring compliance with the terms of the order, and safeguarding the interests of the United States in its contractual relationships.
  • You will review negotiated awards, unilateral and bilateral purchase orders for technical and design services, short-term study or research projects, and services to be carried out by contractors or universities.
  • You will ensure all critical information is included in solicitation packages.
  • You will review specifications to determine a firm's ability to deliver products and/or services; reviews issued orders against Indefinite Delivery Type Contracts, use the government purchase card, and Blanket Purchase Agreements as applicable.
  • You will assist in the close out of simplified acquisition folders and monitors support activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with allocated funding and regulatory guidance

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing acquisition action support in accordance with regulation and allocated funding for an organization. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: General Business and Industry Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
