Salary Range: $75788 - $118092 Per Year

Job Summary: This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12. You will serve as a Procurement Analyst in the Corporate Operations Department, Property Management Division, Purchase Requisition Branch (Code DN1071) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA).

Major Duties:

  • You will analyze material procurement requirements and process purchase requisitions for internal and external customers in major programs across Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.
  • You will determine appropriate procurement methods and define accurate property types in compliance with Federal Acquisition and Property Management regulations, ensuring the mandatory sources of supply are utilized.
  • You will perform material procurement screening as an integral component of cradle-to-grave procurement for improved compliance, efficiency and customer service.
  • You will evaluate material requirements for availability within the Federal Supply System.
  • You will determine appropriate supply cataloging and classification.
  • You will initiate creation and extension of Unique Material Masters (UMM) and National Stock Numbers (NSN) necessary for accurate procurement in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • You will execute customer purchase requests using all available procurement methods.
  • You will coordinate with internal and external customers to expedite accurate processing of critical purchase requirements.
  • You will maintain a Government Purchase Card (GPC) and be responsible for monthly reconciliation, as well as completion of all the necessary system transactions.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-3 pay band (GS-9 and GS-10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating program systems and process inefficiencies to recommend business and financial standards. Examples of qualifying experience may include: Defining system and process inefficiencies and recommending standard practices and systems; reviewing and analyzing procurement requirements for internal and external customer in major programs across DoN.
