The Opportunity:

The Administrative Specialist - Security & Strategic Support will serve as the primary liaison between the Strategies and Plans (S&P) office and external security offices to accomplish routine administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing necessary project management tasks in accordance with local and overarching Department of War (DOW) guidance, including policies, instructions, regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Maintain the POA&M for the S&P office and its equities, ensuring all tasks and timelines are properly tracked and managed.

  • Daily responsibilities include logging into all S&P network systems to accomplish routine tasks that support the office’s mission.

  • Act as the S&P knowledge manager, maintaining, updating, and organizing rosters, calendars, and event synchronization in compliance with local policies.

  • Requires completing administrative tasks to support the organization’s mission and POA&M.

  • Providing administrative assistance, including maintaining rosters, calendars, travel coordination, event synchronization and training arrangements.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 7+ years of related work experience.

  • Knowledge and experience working with security classification guides is required.

  • Must understand the Integrated Joint Special Technical operations (IJSTO) decision making and approval process.

  • Must understand DOW, joint service, other federal agency, intelligence community policies, procedures, and statutes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to draft correspondence, emails, and reports.

  • Requires document management and organizational skills.

Desired:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Previous experience working in SCIF environments.

  • Prior military experience is highly desirable.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$41,300 - $82,600
