Labcorp is seeking a HYBRID Administrative Specialist to join our team!

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST

Hybrid Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Work Location: 1 day in Durham with 2 days in Burlington OR 2 days in Durham with 1 day in Burlington

 Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel for the SVP & General Counsel.
  • Organize and prepare meeting materials, presentations, agendas, and briefing documents.
  • Support the operations of the Legal department, including coordinating team meetings, tracking priorities, and monitoring deadlines.
  • Assist with administrative aspects of legal projects, corporate governance, compliance activities, and contract workflows.
  • Screen and prioritize incoming communications, using sound judgment to determine required action.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and prepare detailed itineraries.
  • Maintain document management systems, ensuring organization, confidentiality, and version control.
  • Liaise with outside counsel for scheduling, billing inquiries, and documentation needs.
  • Handle highly confidential information related to corporate strategy, legal matters, personnel issues, and regulatory actions with absolute discretion.
  • Prepare, review, and edit sensitive correspondence, reports, and documents.
  • Process expense reports, invoices, and legal vendor payments; monitor budgets if applicable.
  • Support the onboarding/offboarding process for Legal team employees and contractors.
  • Maintain office supplies, subscriptions, and departmental tools or systems.
  • Assist with special projects, research assignments, and event planning as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree with 5 or more years administrative experience or HS diploma or GED with 7 or more years administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years coordinating executive leadership scheduling
  • 2 or more years corporate legal department or law firm
  • 2 or more years legal terminology or corporate law processes
  • 5 or more years MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint

The Administrative Assistant to the Senior Vice President & General Counsel provides high‑level administrative, operational, and confidential support within the Office of the General Counsel. This role requires exceptional organization, discretion, judgment, and the ability to manage complex priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. The Administrative Assistant serves as a key liaison between the SVP & GC, internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and executive leadership.
