Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the primary security expert for Program Executive Office Digital (PEO DES), responsible for the comprehensive protection of personnel, information, and assets.
  • You will encompass both physical and information security domains, requiring expertise in risk assessment, security training, regulatory compliance, and incident response.
  • You will ensure consistent and accurate application of security policies, safeguards sensitive information, and directly supports the Navy's mission by providing expert guidance to program managers, senior executives etc.
  • You will ensure SCGs are compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and Navy policies. Provide comprehensive training and guidance to personnel on the proper use and interpretation of SCGs.
  • You will prepare detailed incident reports, meticulously track progress, and provide comprehensive final reports outlining outcomes and corrective actions.
  • You will review and provide expert guidance on derivative classification, safeguarding requirements, and control of classified material. Ensure adherence to proper destruction requirements for classified information.
  • You will manage all Secure Rooms for PEO DES, providing expertise on complex and sensitive security issues directly to program heads, senior executives, flag officers, and national-level Navy leadership
  • You will maintain strict accountability of personnel working within the Secure Rooms and ensure adherence to all Secure Room policies.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide continuity of security for facility, personnel, visitor control, and/or document control as well as policy guidance and support to Program Office personnel members on security management; AND lead investigations of security incidents to include reporting documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
