Major Duties:

  • This position is located in the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) District of New Hampshire. If selected for this position you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of administrative services that support the efficient operation of the district. You will provide advice and assistance to management and support staff on administrative policies, procedures, and requirements for the office. Typical duties include: Serving as an office purchasing agent for supplies, equipment, and services. Reviewing purchase requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations. Promoting and coordinating effective records management programs with USAO managers and employees by providing guidance and training. Providing support and assistance in personnel actions including recruitment requests, onboarding, time and attendance, and training coordination. Collecting and analyzing data on program needs to help management prepare annual and multi-year budget requests. Maintaining time and attendance records and ensuring timely submission of reports. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications: GS-9: To be qualified at the GS-9 grade level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a Combination of Education and Experience. Specialized Experience: Must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in Federal or private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience monitoring and tracking budget obligations and/or expenditures; reviewing requisitions and/or administering procurement activities; and providing administrative support in areas such as human resources, records management and/or facilities and space management. OR Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources): master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. OR Combination of Specialized Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience and graduate education which when combined meets 100% of the requirements for the position. Only graduate education in excess of one (1) full year is creditable. To compute the percentage divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify for this grade level.
