Job Summary: You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN WEST.

Major Duties:

  • You will provide technical guidance to clerical personnel concerning correspondence procedures, Navy filing system and message preparation.
  • You will utilize word processing software to produce a variety of correspondence, reports, forms and awards in final form from rough drafts or oral instructions.
  • You will ensure the command's awards program and awards filing system is managed accurately.
  • You will ensure all fitness and evaluation reports are accurate and processed in accordance with the timeline requirements.
  • You will initiate and ensure adequacy and timeliness of all necessary arrangements for the CO and XO's official travel.
  • You will coordinate the planning of the Change of Commands ceremonies.
  • You will manage and create the organization's travel budget and execution of the travel orders.
  • You will provide liaison with HRO for all matters affecting civilian employees in the command.
  • You will coordinate budget requirements for civilian training.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing operational and administrative functions in connection with records keeping, travel preparation, correspondence procedures, training requirements or resource management to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures for an organization.
