About the Role

You will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Pathology, Pathology Operations Manager. You are also accountable for providing clerical and administrative support to allocated areas of Pathology to ensure the efficient running of the Department.

  • Manage the Director’s and Operations Manager’s diary and travel, plan and schedule meetings and functions as required

  • Prepare agendas and take minutes for relevant meetings and committees

  • Assist with the preparation of documents and reports


Classifications for this position will range from classification range ($66,768 $73,549 per annum).

Your Contribution

  • At least 1 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant or similar role with demonstrated experience in the provision of a full range of high level administrative support to senior management

  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with a range of key stakeholders to develop effective relationships and partnerships

  • Excellent computer skills with a range of software packages including Microsoft Office suite

  • Current National criminal history check

About Pathology
SVHA is Australia’s largest Catholic health and aged care network. The pathology department carries out all of the Pathology required by St Vincent’s Hospital network. In addition, St Vincent’s Pathology has about 60 Accredited Collection Centres, and 20 Category S labs. We currently perform the pathology for the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, the three St Vincent’s Private Hospital campuses and a variety of Specialists and General practitioners from around Melbourne. About 35% of the work performed by St Vincent’s Pathology comes from St Vincent’s run Public Hospitals, and 65% is private.
