Overview
The Adjunct Instructor (AI) is responsible for clinical and laboratory supervision and the evaluation of students for the delivery of both residential and distance education courses. The AI is accountable for student outcomes and acts as a resource for students providing support, remediation, and referral as needed. The AI shall maintain professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing. The AI participates in community and institutional service activities which contribute to the mission of RHS and RCHC. Essential functions are fundamental job duties, knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to perform the position. For all College Instructor and Staff positions, standards are intended to apply to all educational delivery methods residential, blended and/or distance as feasible.

Qualifications
Education
- Program Graduate, Allied Health Profession (Preferred) and
- Bachelors Degree, Allied Health Profession or Education (Required)
Experience
- 3-4 years Recent (within last 5 years) clinical experience or teaching in the specified field or a combination of the two prior to hire date (Required)
- Experience in a clinical educational setting (Preferred)
- Formal didactic teaching experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the Virginia Board of Health Professions. (Required)
