Adjunct Healthcare Faculty - Health Administration - Main Campus - Health Care Professions

Grand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Health Care faculty members for an in-person, Main Campus course, and we invite applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our Health Care students.
This is an in-person, Main Campus class, running 15 weeks in length from September to December 2026. Must be available Wednesday and Fridays from 1 PM-2:45 PM.
We will be considering Arizona residents only. Anyone outside of Arizona will not be considered.

What you will do:

  • Provide program instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline
  • Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation
  • Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University
  • Equip students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession
  • Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What you need:

  • Masters in Health Information (MHI or MSHCI), Masters in Medical Records Administration (MMRA), Masters in Health Care Administration (MHCA), Masters in Health Administration (MHA), Masters in Business Administration (MBA), or Masters in Public Administration (MPA) required.
  • 5 years of experience in health information technology, health information management, medical records, or health care administration in a hospital or acute care or managed care or ambulatory care physician group or long-term care setting.
  • This is an in-person, Main Campus class, running 15 weeks in length from September to December 2026.
  • Must be available Wednesday and Fridays from 1 PM-2:45 PM.
  • We will be considering Arizona residents only. Anyone outside of Arizona will not be considered.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Proficient in English, Grammar, and writing in APA format
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
