Post Studios, our in-house advertising strategy team, is seeking a temporary Director of Ad Sales Marketing Strategy to provide coverage during a leave of absence. This person will create proposals and marketing materials, work on market research and competitive analysis, pitch and produce custom programs, and manage sold campaigns. This client-facing strategic role will work cross-functionally with Design, Account Management and Ad Operations to provide well-rounded support for Ad Sales.
Note: This is a temporary position providing leave coverage, with an anticipated duration from June through October (timing subject to change based on business needs).
Responsibilities:
Pre-Sale:
Lead brainstorm conversations with internal teams to develop scalable, multi-platform solutions in response to client RFPs or proactive opportunities
Build and manage sales material creation in response to RFPs, proactive opportunities and other sales requests
Help coordinate pricing and media plan details with Account Management and Account Executives
Develop research slides for RFPs and proactive opportunities using syndicated platforms such as comScore and Nielsen Scarborough
Craft branded content, custom video and custom social write ups that effectively translate marketing ideas into exciting, coherent pitches
Develop and articulate custom native campaigns, sponsorships and activation opportunities that address client objectives
Regularly meet with Account Executives to follow up on proposals and uncover pro-active opportunities
Stay on top of industry trends and competitive advertising programs
Post-Sale:
Manage process for sold integrated campaigns:
Work with Design, Video, Social, Editorial, etc. to produce client programs
Serve as primary communication lead with client and/or agency contacts throughout production process
Communicate timelines and set reasonable expectations for product outcome and project fulfillment
Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external partners
Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations as needed
Attend/support sponsored events on behalf of the Post
Build post-campaign recap/insights decks
Other projects as assigned
Requirements:
Proven experience developing a high volume of campaign pitch decks and client proposals
Strong understanding of the digital media sales ecosystem, including key stakeholders, processes, and tools
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively
Solid project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Collaborative and diplomatic team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Up-to-date knowledge of pop culture and digital marketing trends
Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X) strongly preferred
Familiarity with WordPress, Storied, Photoshop, and Facebook Ads Manager is a plus
Note: This position will be expected to report to our Midtown, NY office 3 days per week.

Base Pay Range: $55.00-$65.00 Hourly
