Actuarial Manager, Asia Retirement Finance

Manulife is seeking a seasoned Actuarial professional to support the MPF business. The role in the Actuarial Team under Asia Retirement Finance requires the candidate to be willing to learn to build up the technical and business knowledge on pension business. The team works closely with different teams to ensure that the assumptions in the pricing can be actualized. The candidate will have a variety of exposure in Hong Kong and Asia Retirement business in building up project managements experience, actuarial analytical skills and business sense.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform pricing on new products & new business initiatives and re-pricing of existing products
  • Represent actuarial team on the post-eMPF projects in coaching analysts to perform required analysis and recommendation
  • Guide analysts in performing experience study and annual business plan
  • Guide interns in pricing of Special Quotations and liaise with sales team and customer relation team over tailor-made and competitive package to our target customers
  • Provide financial support for Retirement ALM Committee and guaranteed funds investment strategy review
  • Review RBC impact on Retirement business
  • Work closely with business administration / IT in implementation of new product features
  • Work closely with different teams to ensure that the assumptions in the pricing can be actualized

Required Qualifications:

  • FSA or FSA equivalent with 5-8 years of working experience
  • Experience in pension business is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science
  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple parties
  • Demonstrate initiatives, commitment and able to work independently
  • Native Cantonese speaker
  • Effective command of English, both spoken and written
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and critical thinking
  • Knowledge in GGY AXIS, Microsoft Access, VBA, Power Bl or other actuarial software is an advantage
