Actuarial Associate, Insurance Risk & Financial Management

Provide actuarial support to the Insurance Risk & Financial Management sub-team under the Actuarial In-Force Management team on the experience monitoring and experience study, for management reporting of insurance / operating risks.

Job Descriptions:

Experience Monitoring & Analysis

Perform deep dive studies, conduct regular experience monitoring and reporting to provide insights of emerging insurance risks to the business and to facilitate modelling of these risks under economic valuation regime (e.g. mortality improvements, policyholder options and behaviour).

Operating Assumption Setting

Provide support in the operating assumption setting based on experience and long-term view with the consideration of various financial metrics across earning basis.

Data Analytics Enhancement

Support the transformation of the data analytics process driving by more advanced predictive analysis tool, e.g. Alteryx, Power BI and develop experience dashboard

Insurance Risk Advisory Participation

Provide support on the organization of various insurance risk advisory committees (Persistency and Claims) and the preparation of relevant meeting materials / actuarial experience analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate majoring in Actuarial Science or equivalent subjects.
  • 1 to 2 years of actuarial working experience.
  • Good exam progress of Society of Actuaries or equivalent
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in Prophet, Alteryx, Power BI is a plus.
  • Decent business and financial acumen
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and spoken English
