What is the Opportunity?

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the actuarial and risk management functions for International business.

What will you do?

  • Support and enhance the actuarial and risk management functions for the International business, with a focus on month-end valuation reporting. Other duties/workstreams include but are not limited to: mortality studies, in-force data updates, and actuarial modelling.

  • Work closely with the business and other functional partners on strategic projects and tactical actions, and assist these areas in achieving their goals

  • Support ad-hoc work in areas to support teams working on model changes, new business reporting or asset liability modelling

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science. Other relevant Majors (e.g. Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics) are acceptable if accompanied with demonstrated knowledge of Actuarial concepts

  • ASA with 6 or more actuarial exams is required

  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience within the life insurance industry, preferably in valuation reporting or related functions

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be an innovative thinker and understand the "big picture" and able to deliver under tight deadlines

  • Strong working experience with GGY AXIS and MS Excel

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice-to-Haves:

Working experience with R and Tableau
