The role supports the manager in shaping product strategy and driving development, as well as actuarial reporting. It involves conducing regular product market intelligence and collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure that products are well‑designed, meets customer needs, and supports sales goals. The role also monitors key product performance indicators such as sales, persistency and profitability and assists with actuarial reports and analyses as required by the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research, design product concepts, coordinate approvals with PGC/Group Office, liaise with reinsurers and distribution partners, and prepare regulatory filing documents.
  • Monitor product performance, the competitive landscape, economic and investment conditions, and assess implications for actuarial assumptions and product strategy.
  • Set pricing assumptions, perform profit testing using Excel/Prophet, prepare feasibility documents for approvals, provide rate tables, and support reinsurance treaty reviews.
  • Prepare product specifications with underwriting inputs, manage development timelines, and support UAT for systems and sales tools.
  • Produce monthly product performance dashboards; conduct 3/6/12‑month post‑implementation reviews and annual product assessments, including recommendations.
  • Assist with actuarial reporting, including group/regulatory submissions, business planning, forecasting, experience studies, and assumption reviews.
  • Ensure actuarial results (e.g., financial reports, regulatory reports, reinsurance management) comply with local regulations and meet governance and control requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
