Acoustics & Vibrations Test Engineer - Flight Physics

Job Description:

A vacancy for an Acoustics & Vibrations Test Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defense & Space in Getafe Spain. The successful applicant will join the Integration Test & Analysis - Flight Physics team.

Mission of the department and skill group

At Integration Test & Analysis - Flight Physics we are at the heart of aircraft development, and the value it delivers to our customers providing independent testing being the first internal customer of Engineering. Our main mission is to offer specialized acoustic and vibration testing services throughout the product/solution lifecycle for all flying platforms.

Responsibilities of the job holder

• Challenge and harmonize test orders/test requests in line with the acoustic and vibration test strategy.

• Define in detail the test methods and means for ground and flight tests related to acoustic and vibration analysis.

• Define measurement plans with instrumentation specialists for acoustic and vibration tests.

• Ensure test quality on external deliveries.

• Define and write test procedures and test cases.

• Contribute to the elaboration of Test program.

• Validates measurements and test results.

Required skills

As the successful candidate you will have to be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies:

• Applicants must have an Engineering Master degree with previous experience in acoustic and vibration testing or related technical disciplines..

  • Experience in Acoustics, Vibration Analysis, or Structural Dynamics.

  • Flight testing experience, particularly in acoustic and vibration testing, would be a plus.

• Programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.

• Proficiency in using acoustic and vibration testing equipment and software.

• You must have a good level of communication in English.

• Your positive energy and motivation enthuses your team. You are willing to master your responsibilities in a complex and fast paced development environment.

• You are curious, always ready to learn and enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues.

• You enjoy taking responsibility for your ideas and make them happen.
