Accounts Receivable Representative

The role:

The Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate collection of payments from clients, and maintaining positive relationships with customers. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the organization and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

What you will do:

  • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collections.
  • Monitor customer order hold list on a daily basis and resolve payment issues by working with both sales team & customers to ensure the on hold orders get released in a timely manner.
  • Handle incoming customer calls, addressing inquiries regarding account balances and providing detailed breakdowns of their accounts. Process credit card payments as requested by customers.
  • Proactively follow up with customers regarding outstanding invoices through phone calls, emails, or mailed correspondence to facilitate timely payment.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies and disputes related to billing and payment issues to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate account management.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, collections, and aging analysis for management.
  • Support month-end closing activities by performing reconciliations of accounts receivable.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, communications, and payments received.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, general accounting practices or customer service
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good Organizational Skills
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication Skills (both written & verbal)
