Job Description

Join the “Credit Controller Representative I” in the “Order to Cash” Department for NA Region. Support credit management and debt collection.

To excel in this role, you should showcase a keen attention to detail and expertise in balancing company accounts. Ultimately, a top-class credit controller can improve company profits by efficiently handling its debts. We strictly adhere to high standards, ensuring the correct and timely upload of invoices to different portals established by clients to promote their payment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customers with a low complexity portfolio to ensure compliance with payment terms and credit limits using the ERP system and Order Release Portal.
  • Perform risk assessments on new existing accounts and make recommendations on credit limits, risk categories, and credit terms.
  • Assist the team in achieving annual targets on collections and support credit risk assessments of our credit analysis shared service in Costa Rica.
  • Review unapplied/unidentified payments.
  • Perform financial statement analysis, issuing recommendations for credit line increases following the department's approval matrix.
  • Supervise the assessment and documentation of the "Credit Hold" process.
  • Release orders on hold based on credit analysis on customers' trade AR.
  • Set up credit terms for new clients and review requests for extended payment terms.
  • Review payment plans and liaise with customers and the commercial department.
  • Identify and analyze credit notes, debit notes, and cash not accurately applied.
  • Facilitate credit card payment of invoices with the corresponding department under the supervisor's approval.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, economy, mathematics preferable, or equivalent experience.
  • No prior experience required.
  • B2 English Level.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience handling at least one ERP (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, BAAN, QAD, Intuitive, Mainframe).

Additional Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with Cforia and/or Get Paid.
