Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring all our customer accounts are well managed and we receive timely payments. You will work collaboratively and partner with other functional areas in resolving queries and reporting on sales and debtor accounts and ensure that the Accounts Receivables team are providing quality service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Receivable Officer performs a wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to:
Managing Debtors & Debtor reporting requirements:
- Taking ownership over Debtor Accounts, the Debtors Aged Trial Balance, provision for debt write-offs, and reconciling accounts.
- Increasing cashflow through effective collection and receipting of outstanding debt.
- Enhancing internal and external customer relationships.
- Responsible for completing month end duties.
- Setting up New Accounts.
- Assisting with the successful completion of our Audit & Tax compliance.
- Provide support to Finance Business Partners.
- Assist with reporting of budgets and forecasts.
- Promoting best practice debtor management processes with knowledge of recoveries procedures, accounting standards and driving systems improvement initiatives.
Proactively providing value-add support to Accounting Team to reduce non-value-add tasks while keeping in place a solid internal controls environment:
- Providing support to members within the accounting team and across the business.
- Preparing adhoc debtors reports.
- Completing all tasks as assigned from the Senior Financial Accountants and Transactional Manager, Finance senior leadership and leaders across the business.
- Supporting and driving continuous improvement within accounts receivable processes, policies, systems and controls.
