Responsibilities:

Global Accounts Payable & Compliance

  • Oversee the end-to-end global Accounts Payable cycle for all Bullish entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment runs (ACH, wires, checks) in multiple currencies, including payment in digital assets.

  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant local, regional, and international tax regulations (e.g., VAT, GST, 1099, 1042-S) and IFRS/GAAP accounting standards.

Workday and System Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Financials as it relates to Accounts Payable, procurement, and expense management modules.

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives within the Workday platform to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy across all AP processes.

  • Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and integration of AP systems with other financial and operational platforms.

International Payroll Management Integration

  • Act as the primary financial liaison with the global Payroll functions, providing oversight and governance for payroll-related disbursements for cash forecast management purpose.

  • Ensure the accurate and compliant management of payroll disbursements from bank accounts across multiple international jurisdictions and time zones, working closely with HR, local finance teams, and third-party payroll providers.

  • Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and ensure appropriate coding and accounting for all payroll-related taxes and withholdings globally.

Team Leadership and Vendor Relations

  • Lead and manage the global Accounts Payable team, which is outsourced to a Third Party off-shore in APAC. Set clear performance goals while fostering a culture of accuracy, compliance, and process excellence.

  • Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with key global vendors and internal stakeholders (Procurement, Operations, and Finance) to resolve complex invoice, payment, and contract disputes efficiently.

  • Monitor and report on key AP metrics (e.g., invoice cycle time, Days Payable Outstanding - DPO) to identify trends and present actionable recommendations to senior management.

  • Promote a disciplined approach of AP operations by reinforcing best practices around vendor onboarding, payment scheduling, fraud prevention, and adherence to Treasury-approved funding process.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing a high-volume, multi-national AP function.

  • Mandatory experience managing global AP processes and payroll disbursements across multiple international jurisdictions.

  • Deep, hands-on experience and proficiency with Workday Financials (specifically AP and Expenses modules) in a global company environment.

  • Expert knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and global tax regulations (e.g., 1099, 1042-S, VAT/GST compliance).

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a geographically dispersed team.
