Job Description

Broadridge is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Lead based in Cluj. In this role, you will manage a local team, collaborating with diverse cultures across the EMEA and APAC regions.

You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring efficient payment processing, account reconciliation, and continuous improvement in procedures. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounts Receivable, to drive operational excellence and support seamless financial operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Invoice Verification & Payment: Review, verify, and authorize invoices; ensure timely processing of payments to meet operational deadlines.

  • Account Reconciliations: Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to identify and rectify improper charges, validating transactions for accuracy.

  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement changes in methods and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

  • Global Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of three, setting priorities and coordinating workflows across EMEA and APAC entities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure accurate payment posting, timely collections, and resolution of billing discrepancies.

  • Leadership & Development: Conduct performance appraisals, facilitate training sessions, and support the professional development of your team members.

  • Operational Excellence: Use sound judgment to resolve day-to-day technical and operational issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and financial controls.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role within an Accounts Payable environment.

  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting with teams spanning across EMEA and APAC regions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting software.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional interpersonal communication, and a tactical approach to managing sensitive issues.

  • Ability to coach and motivate team members while maintaining excellent engagement and efficiency.
