Are you an accounting professional who is passionate and wants to work in the Aerospace & Defense Industry? We may have the role for you! As an Accounts Payable Specialist II, you will support the accounts payable function by handling invoice processing, coding, and data entry. You will reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely payment processing. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal departments. This role also involves maintaining records and providing assistance with audits.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and update accounts payable records and documentation.

  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice issues.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and reporting.

  • Support the implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ years of relevant accounts payable or accounting experience.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.

  • Proficiency with accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Proficiency with Automated Accounting Systems

  • Analytical abilities, time management, organizational and communication skills are essential

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of accounts payable practices.

  • Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in an office environment.

  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid office environment.

  • Some travel may be required.
