Overview of Role

The incumbent will join the Accounting team as an Accounts Executive and will report to the Accounting Manager, APAC. They will provide support in ensuring that daily cash flow, trade and non-trade accounts receivables, accounts payable and general ledger transactions are up-to-date. In addition, the incumbent will provide support in the month-end closing process and be involved in the liaison with external auditors if required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly financial close and reporting for Singapore entities.
  • Manage the daily posting of bank transactions, matching of accounts payable/accounts receivables and bank reconciliation.
  • Checking of staff claim to ensure compliance with group policy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support on intercompany transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of GST report and filing to IRAS to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with external auditors in the annual audit process.
  • Assist with statistical submission to local authority.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting processes and system.
  • Perform other ad-hoc assignments as directed by the team lead.
  • Assist to sub-lead the team on assignments.

Profile

The individual should have the following experience:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience (Audit experience an added advantage).
  • Ability to plan, organize a large volume of activity committed and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on, independent, self-motivated and committed with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail and meticulous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office skills
