Accounts Assistant

Salary: £27,000 plus Veolia benefits

Location: Cannock, Staffordshire- Hybrid working

Hours : Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What will you be doing?

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team within the Industrial, Water and Energy business. This role will have responsibility for Eneteq, to accurately report the financial position and help drive future business performance.

  • Produce monthly journals, Management Accounts reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis in a timely manner for Eneteq.

  • Liaise with operational teams to correlate operational performance to financial output.

  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts for the areas of responsibility.

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve balance sheet queries.

  • Undertaking ad hoc project work as required and remaining compliant with all Veolia policies and procedures.

  • Assist with annual audits.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with multi-layer stakeholders and management.

  • Have strong logic and analytical skills.

  • Self starter, self-motivated, with strong time management skills.

  • Strong organisation skills and a high degree of professionalism.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Level 3 AAT or working towards completion of.

  • Ability to adapt to new processes and systems
