The successful candidate will be responsible for the followings:

Work location : Hyderabad
Design, standardize, and maintain global journal templates in compliance with accounting standards.
Set up, post, and review complex journal entries including FX revaluations, provisions, share-based payments, lease accounting, treasury, and tax transactions.
Drive automation, implement quality checks, and ensure adherence to accounting policies and materiality thresholds.
Maintain SOX compliance; update related controls and documentation on a regular basis.
Own the global reconciliation methodology and formats.
Define risk-based reconciliation frequency and review high-risk or judgmental accounts.
Provide technical accounting guidance for unusual items and ensure timely clearance of aged balances.
Coordinate with Corporate Controllership to design month/quarter-close calendars and task lists.
Optimize sequencing of close activities and monitor completion status.
Handle complex areas such as consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, and group recharges.
Ensure one-off and non-recurring transactions are properly captured and documented.
Partner with Controllership/Internal Control to define and roll out:
Capitalization rules, thresholds, and exceptions.
End-to-end R2R process documentation, ownership matrices, and cross-entity governance models.
Enhanced SOX documentation and control frameworks (key vs non-key controls).
Perform control testing, lead remediation of deficiencies, and standardize documentation globally.
Oversee the fixed asset register to ensure compliance with Global Capital Asset Policy.
Serve as subject matter expert in lease accounting (IFRS 16 / ASC 842 / Ind AS 116).
Define policies, review complex lease arrangements (embedded, variable, options), and manage system configuration updates.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and confirmations to ensure accurate eliminations during consolidation.
Investigate and resolve mismatches with counterpart entities, ensuring compliance with markup and tax regulations.
Define R2R KPIs and performance scorecards.
Design automated reporting processes and dashboards that deliver regional and global financial views.
Ensure that all reports adhere to IFRS/Ind AS and internal reporting standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, including training and capability-building sessions.
Provide IT and system support guidance to team members.
Lead process transformation and re-engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and control.
Manage large-scale projects and cross-functional initiatives, exercising independent judgment and thought leadership.
