At EBANX’s Accounting team, you don’t just record transactions — you ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial information that supports strategic decision-making.
As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will act as a key reference within the team, owning complex accounting topics, supporting audits, and driving improvements in processes and controls.
This is a high-impact role that combines technical expertise, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Operations, ensuring alignment between accounting practices and business strategy.
Lead complex accounting activities, including critical reconciliations, estimates, and technical analyses
Own month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring quality and timeliness
Review and validate work performed by other team members (when applicable)
Act as a key point of contact for accounting topics across regions and entities
Prepare and analyze financial statements with a focus on accuracy and insights
Support and lead audit processes, interacting directly with auditors
Identify risks, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
Drive automation, efficiency, and standardization initiatives
Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations
Partner with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Operations teams
Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5–8+ years of experience in accounting roles
Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS required)
Experience in multinational environments
Solid audit exposure and experience with complex topics
Advanced Excel skills and ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of ownership and accountability
Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders
Strong communication skills
Experience with process automation and continuous improvement
Exposure to multi-entity and multi-country accounting (LATAM is a plus)
Knowledge of intercompany transactions and transfer pricing
Experience with ERP implementations or system migrations
Background in Big 4 or fast-paced environments
Familiarity with data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL)
Experience in high-growth or fintech companies
