Core Competencies: The Accounting Specialist provides support to ensure the success of the firm’s financial functions. This position regularly interfaces with employees in all offices, as well as with client personnel, and therefore must represent the firm well in all interactions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Approves expense reports to ensure compliance with firm’s expense policy

• Updates and maintains expense reimbursement platform for all employees

• Provides expense-related customer service to the firm

• Responds to internal customer and vendor correspondence

• Processes invoices within the procurement system

• Reviews potential coding errors before integration

• Responsible for reconciling specified general ledger accounts

• Assist with Finance projects and research as required

• Provides support in all other duties as assigned

Job Specific Competencies, Education and Experience:

• Post-Secondary Degree (focus on accounting or related field a plus)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), particularly Excel

• Excellent organization and attention to detail while handling multiple assignments effectively and efficiently

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to facilitate engaging presentations to audiences that may include senior leadership

• Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to generate sound professional relationships in order to successfully, effectively and collaboratively work in a team environment

• Ability to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision

• Results focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Base Salary: $63,000 - $73,000

·        Salaries may vary within the range based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. ​
