You’ll ensure accurate, timely and compliant transactional processing while partnering closely with Finance leadership and the wider business to strengthen controls, improve efficiency and support broader finance transformation initiatives.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a continuous improvement mindset

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction across AP, AR and Accounting Services, ensuring consistent service delivery, accuracy and timeliness

  • Oversee day‑to‑day transactional activities including supplier payments, billing, cash application, reconciliations, journals and close activities

  • Act as an escalation point for complex operational, stakeholder and control issues

  • Ensure transactional outputs support accurate month‑end close, statutory and management reporting

  • Maintain balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations and issue resolution

  • Partner with Financial Control, Audit and Risk to maintain strong controls and address audit findings

  • Identify and lead opportunities to streamline, standardise and automate processes

  • Support and deliver automation and workflow initiatives across finance systems

  • Lead, coach and develop team leaders and their teams, building capability and high performance

  • Contribute to shared services strategy and broader finance transformation programs

About you

You’re an experienced finance leader who enjoys working in an operational, process‑driven environment and thrives on improving how things are done.

You’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

  • Significant experience leading AP, AR and/or Accounting Services in a medium to large organisation

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, controls and financial close requirements

  • Proven people leadership experience, including leading leaders
