Salary Range: $106437 - $138370 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a ACCOUNTING OFFICER in the Accounting Operations Section of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS. This position is also subject to a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) currently set at 11.88%. COLA is subject to change without notice.

Major Duties:

  • You will be overseeing the performance of personnel involved in carrying out the functions of the Accounting Operations Division.
  • You will be responsible for work planning and organization, setting of goals and priorities, determining staffing and resource needs, and work assignment and review.
  • You will assist the comptroller in coordinating and ensuring the technical adequacy of all accounting systems development.
  • You will counsel and advise the accounting and budget staff on the best approach to accounting problems, assuring functions are properly coordinated.
  • You will receive and accept funding from a wide variety of federal agencies and private parties as provided by law.
  • You will ensure documentation is complete and proper, funding is available, and documents are posted to appropriate records.
  • You will determine sufficiency of funds by analysis and projection of future requirements to prevent excess expenditures.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manage integrated financial accounting systems, communicate operational results to leadership, and support the Comptroller in overseeing the technical accuracy of accounting, budgeting, and internal reviews.
