Job Purpose:

The Manager, Corporate Accounting & External Reporting, plays a critical role within the Finance organization by leading key areas of corporate accounting operations and external financial reporting. This role is accountable for overseeing the monthly close and reporting processes related to equity, debt, derivatives, goodwill and intangible assets, and other general corporate accounting areas, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness of financial information.

The Manager exercises independent professional judgment in managing complex accounting activities, identifying and resolving issues, and driving consistent, high‑quality outcomes with minimal oversight. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external parties, including auditors, to ensure financial results are accurately captured, clearly communicated, and aligned with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.

In addition to technical and reporting responsibilities, the Manager is responsible for achieving results through others by supervising, coaching, and developing staff, establishing strong controls and documentation, and fostering accountability and continuous improvement. The role also contributes to enhancing processes, systems, and efficiencies, while effectively balancing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, complex environment and serving as a trusted accounting and reporting resource across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage external financial reporting schedule and coordinate with internal parties and external auditor to ensure deadlines are met
  • Supervise production of annual consolidated financial statements and captive entity financial statements under US GAAP
  • Coordinate annual financial statement audits and function as a key contact for external auditor
  • Supervise production of quarterly debt compliance package, including unaudited US GAAP financial statements and disclosures, key non-GAAP measures, MD&A financial inputs, and ad-hoc fluctuation analysis for key stakeholders
  • Conduct initial quality reviews of all externally reported financial data
  • Ensure all closing activity is performed in a timely manner and reporting deadlines are met
  • Supervise accounting for stock-based compensation, debt, goodwill, intangible assets, and other corporate areas as assigned
  • Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned areas
  • Coordinate with the Company’s legal, Compensation, Tax, HR, payroll and other teams to administer the employee stock options program
  • Maintain data in the Company’s stock options system
  • Maintain the Company’s equity capitalization table and oversee reporting on equity holdings and stock/options activity
  • Lead monthly debt accounting and ad-hoc refinancing transaction accounting
  • Lead quarterly and annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment testing analyses
  • Lead monthly derivative accounting including ad-hoc monthly analysis as well as being the lead contact to our 3rd party derivative valuation expert and internal treasury team
  • Conduct research on various technical accounting issues as needed and prepare position papers to support conclusions
  • Lead staff members and delegate tasks appropriately; coach and develop staff to encourage top performance and job satisfaction
  • Enhance the documentation of key internal controls and procedures
  • Identify best practices and create ideas for process improvements or automation, specifically leveraging the Company’s AI tools and resources
  • Other tasks or projects as directed by management

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of academic and professional excellence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (MBA or advanced degree viewed favorably)
  • 5 to 10 years of related professional experience
  • CPA certification strongly preferred
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP financial statements including preparation of disclosures
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Microsoft DAX and/or Onestream a plus
