Accounting Intern

Location:  Irving, TX

OneMain Financial is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated intern to join our organization. As an intern, you’ll get hands-on experience as you apply your talents, creativity, and passion inside a large consumer lending finance organization. No matter the projects, you’ll have the opportunity to explore, while learning from experts in consumer lending in a close-knit team environment. Whether you want to develop your strategic thinking or grow other skills, you’ll leverage the knowledge and perspectives gained to accelerate your career growth.

In the Role:

  • Apply strategic thinking to solve complex, unstructured business problems.
  • Turn your proposals into reality by working cross-functionally to get them deployed.
  • Actively contribute to our team’s vibrant culture through sharing knowledge, helping peers, and generally being a great person to work with.
  • Develop creative solutions to improve the company’s decision making, the customer’s experience, and shareholder returns.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting.  
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative and capable of developing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Proven experience (in an academic, athletic, volunteer, or employment context) working with teams of diverse individuals to deliver complex projects. 
  • Highly organized and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrate curiosity, creative problem solving, integrative business thinking, teamwork, and bias for action.  
  • Enthusiastic learners who want to tackle real-world challenges.

Target base salary is $25.00, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience.
