Accounting Intern (Summer 2026)

Location - This is an on-site role, based primarily out of our downtown Chicago office with opportunity to work in both our Burr Ridge and Elmhurst locations on occasion.

About the Role

Double Good is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Accounting team for the summer.

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects that support Double Good’s continued growth. Interns will work alongside experienced team members, develop professional skills, and gain exposure to how teams operate within a fast-growing consumer technology company.

This is a 10-week internship designed to provide real business impact, cross-functional exposure, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

Project Work & Analysis

  • Assist with month-end close tasks, including preparing journal entries, and supporting account reconciliations
  • Help track and organize inventory and production data, including pulling reports and identifying variances for team review
  • Support the Accounting team with projects that contribute to business priorities
  • Conduct research, analysis, and reporting to support decision making
  • Assist in identifying insights and opportunities for improvement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with team members across the organization to understand business challenges
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and insights
  • Support cross-functional initiatives as needed

Reporting & Presentations

  • Assist with preparing reports, presentations, or dashboards
  • Present findings and recommendations as part of a final internship capstone project

Internship Experience

As part of the Double Good Internship Program, interns will also participate in:

  • Leadership roundtables
  • Social and networking events
  • A final capstone project presentation

Experience & Skills We Value

  • Proficiency in Excel, including working with formulas, pivot tables, and data organization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately
  • Interest in accounting systems and ERP platforms (experience with D365 or similar systems is a plus)
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an expected graduation date of Spring 2027
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Curious mindset and willingness to learn
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Internship Details

Program Length:
 10-week Summer internship (Summer 2026)

Program Dates:
 June 2, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Availability Requirement:
 Interns must be available to participate in the full 10-week program and commit to the start and end dates listed above.

Schedule:
 Full-time (40 hours per week) during the duration of the program

Base Pay range for this position:

  • $25/hour

The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
